Routing and queues

You decide what happens next.

Choose where each number sends a call and what happens when nobody answers. Play a recording, take a message, or send callers to a queue. Set a maximum wait so every call has a defined next step.

The Numbers page showing call destinations, ring durations and actions for unanswered calls.

How it works.

  1. 01

    Choose where calls go

Route each number to a person or a queue. Set how long a person's devices ring before the next step.

  2. 02

    Set the fallback

If nobody answers, hang up, play a recording or send the caller to voicemail.

  3. 03

    Take audio or video messages

Callers can leave audio messages or video messages when their camera is available. Messages can be played back in the app.

  4. 04

    Send callers to a queue

Let callers wait for an available member instead of ringing a single person.

  5. 05

    Set a limit on waiting

When the queue reaches its maximum wait, send the caller back to the number's configured fallback.

What's behind routing and queues.

  • Rules for unanswered calls

Choose the ring duration and what happens afterward: hang up, take a message or play a recording.

  • Your own greetings and recordings

Upload audio or video for greetings and announcements, or use built-in tones where appropriate.

  • Audio and video voicemail

Keep audio and video messages in the same mailbox, with playback available in the app.

  • Messages in one place

Browse and play messages in the app, with filters for audio and video.

  • Configurable queues

Set queue members, maximum wait times and the media callers receive while waiting.

  • Route to available members

Offer calls to members who are eligible to answer, signed in and not already on another call.

The hard parts, handled for you.

The hard partHow the platform handles it
A video caller leaves a message. The message keeps their video. An audio-only caller leaves audio, and the mailbox labels each one.
Two members grab the same caller. Each waiting caller is offered to exactly one member, never two at once.
A caller waits forever. At the queue's maximum wait, the caller goes back to the number's plan: hang up, take a message or play a recording.
A caller doesn't know how long they'll wait.Their place in line is shared with the call whenever it changes.
