Integrations

Make the platform part of your software.

Connect your existing systems to calls as they happen. Use API keys with specific permissions, receive signed event notifications and control calls programmatically without depending on the web app.

The API keys page showing active keys and the roles assigned to them.

How it works.

  1. 01

    Create an API key

Give each key a role so your application can perform only the actions you allow.

  2. 02

    Connect your application

Use the API to place calls, inspect active calls and manage supported platform settings.

  3. 03

    Receive call events

Configure a webhook endpoint to receive call and chat events as they occur.

  4. 04

    Verify incoming events

Validate event signatures with the secret provided for your integration.

What's behind integrations.

  • Scoped API access

Each key inherits the permissions of its assigned role. Keys can be created and revoked by authorized users.

  • Real-time event notifications

Receive signed notifications about call and chat activity so your applications can react as events happen.

  • Inspect active calls

Query calls in progress and see which participants are involved.

  • Control calls through the API

Place calls, end them and add participants from your own applications.

  • Bring your own notifications

Use the platform's mobile notification support or integrate your existing notification infrastructure.

  • Integrate chat

Work with direct and group conversations and receive events for conversations your integration can access.

The hard parts, handled for you.

The hard partHow the platform handles it
An update doesn't arrive.Failed deliveries are retried, and events include identifiers so your systems can detect duplicates.
Proving an update came from the platform. Each event is signed using a secret generated for your integration, allowing your system to verify its origin.
Why did a call end without an answer? The event includes the call outcome, such as no answer, busy, declined, unavailable, abandoned or interrupted.
Tracing a problem across systems.Requests and events carry trace IDs so your monitoring can follow activity across integrated services.
